ABOUT
I am currently pursuing a DPhil in Philosophy at the University of Oxford with the support of a Rhodes scholarship and a doctoral scholarship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec Société et Culture. My thesis, supervised by Jeff McMahan, Alison Hills, and Dominic Wilkinson, explores moral behaviour in nonhuman animals. My research interests include animal ethics, practical ethics, moral theory, and philosophy of emotion.
At Oxford, I have been a tutor or teaching assistant for the following courses: Moral Philosophy: Mill, Ethics, and Practical Ethics. I also gave four lectures with Jen Semler entitled Moral Agency in Humans and Nonhumans.
I am the author or co-author of two books on the history of animal advocacy: Que veulent les véganes? La cause animale, de Platon au mouvement antispéciste (Fides, 2021), co-written with Alexia Renard and winner of the Prix de l'Animalisme Francophone 2023, and Au nom des animaux : l'histoire de la SPCA de Montréal (1869-2019) (Somme toute, 2019) published for the 150th anniversary of the Montreal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
